Hey guys, ready up - is a phrase that can be heard echoing throughout my house full of gamers. In online gaming, when you are in the lobby waiting to start a game, you must set your status as ready, and encouraging others to be ready is to - Ready up!.
Whether you wear them while gaming, or just trying to get everyone out the door in the morning, with the Ready Up socks you will be READY for any adventure.
These socks feature a fun slipped st motif creating arrows that head up your foot, which is equally stunning in 1 or 2 colors. When using 2 colors, there is a solid toe, heel and cuff in the MC.
Keep it simple and knit using 1 color, or use 2 colors for arrows that really POP!
Grab a skein of yarn (or 2) and Ready Up!
SIZES:
Adult-Small (Adult-Medium, Adult-Large, Adult-XLarge)
To fit foot circumference: 6-7 (7-8, 8-9, 9-10)“
Finished sock circumference: 7 (8, 9, 10)”
Leg Height: 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5)“
YARN:
Fingering-weight sock yarn (approximately 400 yards per 100 grams) in 1 or 2 colors, with 2 color option MC needing more yardage (60-70g for larger sizes).
If you switch the MC and CC for the 2nd sock, you will use 50% of each color. Most sizes can be knit with a 100g of fingering weight yarn. The largest sizes, especially if knit for long feet, may require additional yardage.
YARN COLORS:
I recommend pairing a solid or tonal colorway with a highly contrasting variegated, tonal, self-striping, or gradient! For highest contrast, pick 2 colorways with no matching colors. Swap the MC and CC on the 2nd sock as a fun way of mixing things up, and creating distinctly unique yet matching socks!
HEEL: Spacious OMG heel
SKILLS USED: Increases, decreases, Judy’s Magic Cast-on, Optional: Alternating colors/switching yarns.
