This beanie was a gift to an ex-work collegue who has done me a great favour.
Thing was that I had been working at a big company as temporary (lent worker, so I was employed at a sub-company and lent to the big firm) but didn’t get the same pay as regular workers at the firm for the same work, which is quite unfair but still common use in Germany.
I had to sue and finally got equal pay after “only” 5 years of a hard trial phase.

The big company denied giving me a work reference/certificate and I was left quite alone by ex-work collegues and former team leaders (because they were afraid of negative effects with the big firm) and even the trade union of which I was part of during that time.
Except this guy. The sweetest thing he did was write me a a work reference for the time I worked at this big company confirming the tasks I did there.

I was so thankful (tears of joy were running down my face when I read the work reference he wrote for me..) that I wanted to give him something back. He plays the baritone in a brass band so he asked for a baritone beanie with notes and a bass clef on it.
I happily fulfilled this wish :)

The beanie is completely knitted in 4-ply sock yarn. It has a bartone and a bass clef and notes on it and a multicolor ribbing.
But there are at most two colors in one round.
This beanie fits size S and M. (about 54 – 57 cm head circumference)

You can also use Acrylic or Merino yarn of similar weight.
Knitting gauge in stranded pattern: 1 x 1 inch: 7 stitches and 8 rows (2 x 2 cm: 5 stitches and 6 rows).

Diese Beanie war ein Geschenk an einen ehemaligen Arbeitskollegen, der mir einen Riesengefallen getan hat. Ich war eine Zeit lang als Leiharbeiter an eine großen Firma ausgeliehen und habe für die gleich Tätigkeit viel weniger Geld als die Stammbelegschaft bekommen.
Ich habe dann auf Equal Pay geklagt und nach einem zeit- und kraftraubendem 5 jährigen Gerichtsverfahren auch endlich Recht bekommen.
Ich mußte leider feststellen, dass man dabei sehr alleingelassen wird. Weder von Ex-Kollegen, Ex-Teamleitern noch von der Gewerkschaft, der ich damals angehörte, habe ich Unterstützung erfahren. Bis auf eine Ausnahme.
Ich habe damals auch kein Zeugnis von der Entleihfirma bekommen.
D.h. man hat keinen Nachweis und muss selbst belegen, was man dort eigentlich gemacht hat.
Das ist natürlich sehr schwer.
Und dann hat mir ein Ex-Kollege ein Arbeitszeugnis von sich aus über diese Zeit ausgestellt.
Ich hab vor Freude geweint..
Und wollte ihm dafür natürlich auch eine Freude machen.
Er spielt in einer Blaskapelle Bariton und hat sich eine Mütze mit seinem Instrument und einem Bassschlüssel und Noten gewünscht.
Das war mein Geschenk an ihn.

Die Mütze ist wie immer mit maximal zwei Farben pro Runde in 4-fach Sockenwolle gestrickt.
Alternativ könnt Ihr auch Acrylgarn oder Merinowolle in ähnlicher Stärke verwenden.
