(head circumference).
Depth of hat:
15” (15 ½”, 16 ½”) 17” or
38 (40, 42) 44 cm.

Yarn:
450 (500, 550) 600 m of DK weight yarn held double.
OR
225 (250, 275) 300 m of Aran weight yarn

Suggested needles and hooks:
US #7 / 4.5 mm needle for the hat (or as required to meet gauge).
US #3-5 / 3.0-3.5 mm crochet hook
Optional: US #4 / 3.5 mm 29” / 80-120cm circular needle for the folded brim.

Notions:
Darning needle, ruler, measuring tape.

Recommended gauge:
19 sts & 33 rows / 4” in garter stitch with larger needles.
