Realistic clownfish
With this pattern you can make two almost sife-size realistic looking clownfish in no time. A saddleback (yellowfin anemone fish) and a normal clownfish.
Size of finished animal
Made with worsted weight yarn: 4.3 inch / 10 cm long from nose to tail.
The crochet pattern contains
An intro with useful info. List of materials, tools and accessories needed. Brand and colour numbers of the needed yarn. A clear and colour coded description of how to crochet and assemble the animal. Pictures and illustrations to help getting everything right.
Materials
For these crochet clownfish you’ll need worsted weight yarn and an E US/3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll need four colours of yarn: orange, white, black and yellow. The fish are quite small, so you don’t need very much yarn, Iess than 10 grams per colour. For the eyes I’ve used 7 mm animal eyes. You need fibrefill as stuffing. Lopi colour numbers: 1704 (1410), 0051, 0059 and 1703 (1411)
Yarn
Istex Lett lopi. I strongly recommend using a fuzzy yarn because it gives the best result.
Gauge is unimportant for this pattern. If the pieces are crocheted tightly enough, they will not gape visibly when stuffed. You can make a little test swap to be sure.
