I have been trying to think of a universal pattern that is a great unisex hat, something that is fitted, and has a folded brim that provides extra warmth around the ears. This is what led to the design of my Realm hat pattern.

The pattern features an easy to follow 4 row pattern repeat making for an easy, quick knit.

Shape:
A fitted toque using a four row pattern repeat and doubled brim, great for everyone of all ages.

Size:
One size - teen to adult

Yardage:
You will need approximately 175 yards of worsted weight yarn.

Gauge: 24 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches in k1, p1 ribbing, worked in the round

Knitting Needle:
A US 6 (4mm) knitting needle is the needle that was used to obtain gauge for this pattern.

I recommend using a 16” inch cable for the main part of the hat and DPNs for the crown decreases.

Measurement:
15.5 inches around at the brim, 8.5 inches tall
