Rebeca socks
DESCRIPTION
Rebeca socks are DK socks knitted from the cuff down, with a 2x2 rib heel flap and cables along the leg and top of the sock. They’re thick socks perfect to knit with rustic yarn and to wear at home during the winter. They’re named after my knitting friend Rebeca, who got the first sample of the socks as a gift.
LEVEL
Intermediate/Advanced beginner. Great project for a beginner cable knitter.
SIZING
Size 1, 2 (3, 4) correspond to the foot circumference of 18, 20.5 (23, 25.5) cm / 7, 8 (9, 10) in
Size 1 cables are a tiny bit different than the other sizes, if you fit into that size and prefer to knit the rest of the sizes cables, I suggest knitting size 2 and going down a needle size.
YARN AND YARDAGE
You will need 90-140 g / 200-320 m / 218-349 yards of DK weight yarn. These will look great with DK rustic yarn.
Sample yarn
Xolla Pastora
non-SW Ripollesa wool 3ply
50 g / 130 m /142 yards
Sample 1: Fum (size 2, 113 g / 293 m / 321 yards)
Sample 2: Gerani (size 1, 90 g / 234 m / 255 yards)
Pastora was the first Xolla DK yarn, now it’s changed to Bauma, this will work as good as Pastora for this pattern.
