Rebecca Blanket and Hat Set
Out of all of the things I made while pregnant- this was the one thing I adored the most. It stayed next to the bed at the hospital, it was the first crocheted blanket I wrapped our baby in. I knew I wanted something elegant and heirloom- worthy, but still simpler than cables or lace. I used 2 huge balls of baby sport yarn to make this set, and it was worth every ounce of fiber. It breathed well enough that I wasn’t afraid to use it in the summer, but it is still warm enough that I can bring it along with us in the cooler, windier fall and early winter. Now that baby is here, she loves to put her fingers through the gaps of the v-stitches and observe her hands, and snuggle it close to her face when it is time to fall asleep. This is going to be a family favorite for a long time in our home- I hope you are more than pleased with yours, as well!
