Recipe for a Cozy Poncho
This is a basic crochet pattern that works up rather quickly as it uses a bulky weight yarn. The pattern can be easily adapted to any stitch pattern of your choice.
This pattern gives instructions for a bulky weight yarn and a 9 mm hook. It is simple enough to tweak for a different gauge, and alternate instructions for doing so are given.
What I like about this garment: Cuffs keep the poncho from slipping out of place, and a cowl neck can double as a hood in a pinch. The poncho is lightweight and warm enough for chilly days.
Yardage varies according to gauge, but plan for approximately 950 yds using a 9 mm hook and about 1300 yds using a 6 mm hook.
Finished garment measures approximately 32 inches long and 64 inches wide. Cowl is 12 inches long.
