After much research I was unable to find a rectangular version of a popular square shell pattern blanket. I wanted something that retains the shells look throughout the whole piece, so I decided to design it myself, and after some trial and error, here it is!

This repeating pattern in rectangle shape keeps with the square shells pattern seen in other blankets. I found its very easy to complete and can work up to any size you wish. You can use the hook size recommended for the specific yarn you wish to work with, or use 1 size smaller hook for a nice tight stitch. Depends on your personal preference.
