Recycled Denim & Sisal Twine Basket
by kc starr
I cut fabric yarn from old jeans and coiled that to make a basket. It is secured with sisal twine (purchased from a hardware store) crocheted around the denim. I have heard this method called “string crochet” before
It makes a very sturdy basket. not floppy at all
Getting the exact gauge is not required. As long as you are happy with the shape & texture, you are fine.
