This is a sturdy market bag knit with a drop-stitch pattern along the sides and a solid bottom worked on smaller needles. I lined mine with pieces from a worn-out pair of jeans and the base and strap were strong enough to carry a quart of milk comfortably without too much stretching - I’m not sure how well they’d hold up unlined.

I love the bright colors of the Spice Market yarn, and the loose, open pattern lends itself well to the yarn’s highly variable gauge.
