Red and white fox fingerless gloves/mitts
Fox fingerless gloves/mitts - hand-knitted in 4ply weight wool with a rust rox at the top and a white Arctic fox at the bottom on the fronts of the gloves. The backs of the gloves are plain.
The gloves in the photograph were knitted in black 100% pure wool and the foxes were using the intarsia method. The gloves could be knitted in plain stocking stitch and the foxes added later using duplicate stitch.
The gloves take approximately 40gm of 4ply wool in the background colour, plus oddments in rust and white for the foxes and tiny bits of pink and grey for highlights.
Each glove is approximately 8cm/3¼” wide (un-stretched) and 13cm/5” long from top of glove to top of ribbed cuff. The ribbed cuff is approximately 4cm/1.5” long
By the way, I have altered the pattern for the foxes slightly since making the actual gloves so that they will fit more neatly across the hand. Their bodies are now slightly shorter than shown (by 3 sts) and the white fox has been moved up a couple of rows to be nearer the red fox.
