This is a pattern for a knit shawl that features two lace (and cable-lace) stitches that come to us from Japan.The focal stitch is one of the popular leaf lace patterns.The border stitches are also unique, but quite a bit more difficult to knit. Combined, they make a one of a kind shawl, quickly becoming an heirloom.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).

There are instructions for an OPTIONAL crocheted edging.

The two stitches are both charted amd written out line by line

The wrap was expertly tested Beverly Long, who can be reached at: Blong39 @hotmail.com., and it was knit using Fleece Artist/Handmaiden’s Casbah yarn in colorway, Mint. (It is knit on a size #5 (3.75mm) needle and requires approximately 1000 yards of yarn, which is three skeins if you are using Casbah)
