This pattern features red-eared slider turtles. The turtles are designed using stranded colorwork and the red “ears” are embroidered on after the hat is complete.

I designed the hat to be gray with brown and green turtles, but you can pick whichever colors you would like.

I have a very loose knitting style, so make sure to check your gauge. If you knit much tighter than I do, you may want to add an extra turtle repeat.
