Red Hat and Mittens for Baby
by Barbara Hurd
When my daughter was a baby she’d throw off one of her mittens in order to suck her thumb. Though I am not encouraging thumb-sucking, I am encouraging keeping those little digits warm. These mittens are thumbless but have an optional hole for determined thumb-suckers.
The stretchable bonnet is securely held in place by ties; simple shaping accentuates the cute curve of a baby’s head and creates a comfortable fit.
