Red Panda Cushion
25% off through April with code RedPandaLove
This adorable sleepy red panda cushion is worked flat in one piece, starting and ending with garter stitch. The design is created by integrating mosaic knitting with a small amount of intarsia for the nose and eyes, with some easy embroidery for the whiskers and optional bamboo leaves. The side seams are sewn using mattress stitch and the cushion fastens with 3 buttons.
The design is charted and I’ve included instructions on how to read the chart and work the mosaic technique as well as instructions for the embroidery.
If you are using a different yarn to the one suggested, you will need approx 380m in MC, 110m in CC1, 80m in CC2 and 55m in CC3 of DK yarn.
A further note about the yarn
I chose the Croft DK for the red panda as it is a lovely rich brick red, and then the contrast shades in Colourlab. I have enough of the 3 contrast shades left over to make a second cushion, and will just have to purchase the 2 skeins of the main shade.
