The Red Panda Socks are mostly worked seamlessly in the round, cuff-down, with a two-color motif around the leg. It starts with the main color and simple 1x1 ribbing, followed by the colorwork section, which is worked in two contrasting colors before easing back into the main color. The heel will be worked with some german short rows. It is intended to be worn with approx. 2.5 cm (1”) negative ease around the ball of the foot. These instructions are written for the Magic Loop technique. However, it is also possible to work with double pointed needles. In this case, the stitches are distributed across 4 double-pointed needles, with a 5th needle for working the stitches. Needle 1 in the pattern will reference double points 1 and 2 combined, and needle 2 in the pattern will reference double points 3 and 4 combined.

Die Red Panda Socken werden grösstenteils nahtlos in Runden gestrickt, mit einem zweifarbigen Motiv um das Bein. Die Socken beginnen mit der Hauptfarbe und einem einfachen 1x1Rippchen Muster, gefolgt von dem mehrfarbigen Abschnitt, der in zwei kontrastierenden Farben gearbeitet wird, bevor er wieder in die Hauptfarbe übergeht. Die Ferse wird mit einigen verkürzten Reihen gearbeitet. Sie sollten mit ca. 2,5 cm (1”) weniger Weite um den Fussballen getragen werden. Das Muster wird in Grösse 2 bei einem Fussumfang von 20 cm (7.75”) gezeigt.

Diese Anleitung ist für die Magic Loop Technik geschrieben. Es ist jedoch auch möglich, mit einem Nadelspiel zu arbeiten. In diesem Fall werden die Maschen auf 4 Nadeln verteilt, wobei eine 5. Nadel zum Stricken der Maschen dient. Nadel 1 im Muster bezieht sich auf die Nadelspielnadeln 1 und 2 zusammen, Nadel 2 im Muster auf die Nadelspielnadeln 3 und 4 zusammen.
