The adorable Red Rocks Basket is a sister to my popular Red Rocks Bowl Cozy. This is NOT your typical flimsy crocheted basket that has to be constantly manipulated and reshaped to make it stand up without being perfectly stuffed! I use an easy and clever trick to give it rigidity - it’s awesome! You can get as creative as your heart desires with color combos and choice of a lid pull. I chose to give mine a boho vibe with a twine tassel and a few wooden beads!

This is a small basket (5.5 inches in diameter) that uses less than a skein of DK weight cotton yarn and gives you a clever way to use up stash! Depending on your materials and confidence, you could definitely adjust its size! A cute little clutter buster, it would look great on an entry table, coffee table, nightstand, shelf, or bathroom counter to name just a few of so many possibilities! Just think of the gift giving potential! You will want to make this over and over again!!!

The Red Rocks Basket is worked in the round starting from a magic ring. It works up quickly because you will be holding 3 strands of yarn together for this project.

Shown in Yarn Bee Sugarwheel Cotton in the color Nutmeg Nibbles.

I have included a tassel video tutorial on my Facebook page, Alpenglow Basin Fiber Arts, and on my Instagram page if you want to check it out @alpenglowbasin. There are no written instructions for how to make a tassel included in this pattern.
