About thirty years ago my mother made this tiny sweater in Red and White and in Blue and White when my twins got born.
Now I’m trying to duplicate this sweater for a new baby soon to be born.
I’m knitting this sweater in the way old Dutch fishermans ganseys were knitted. In the round and the sleeves are knitted starting from the armholes.
In that way the cufs could be easily replaced when they were worn. Well for a baby sweater this will not happen, but it was just the fun of knitting it otherwise and not having to sew it together….
