This sweater is worked bottom-up, starting with the Body and then the Underbelly is knitted. Next, you will add all stitches onto one needle and the Collar will be worked. Then you will be stitching together the Underbelly part of the sweater to the Body, leaving a gap where the dog’s legs will go.

Yarn: Aran (worsted) yarn.

Sample made with James C. Brett Aztec, shade AL7, 90% acrylic, 10% alpaca, 100 g / 190 m / 208 yards. 1 ball for size Small and Medium. 2 balls for size Large and Extra Large.

Needles
3.5 mm / US4. 4 mm / US6 or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge
19 sts and 28 rows measure 10 cm / 4 inches over 9-stitch cable repeat using 4 mm / US6 needle.
