The combination of lace and cable bordered with a k1, p1 rib stitch and stocking stitch defines this elegant cardigan. Knitted from the bottom up, it also features set-in sleeves.

This cardigan is knitted flat from the bottom up working the back, two fronts and sleeves separately. The two front bands are then knitted and joined to each front using mattress stitch. The neck band is worked by picking up stitches across both fronts and back, working 8 rows in rib stitch.

The cardigan is designed without buttons or buttonholes. It can be joined at the neck by either a shawl pin or a brooch.
