Adding mohair to this pattern has two purposes: first, it makes nice stripes, and second, you’ll notice that it’s strategically placed: at the heel and toe! Since the mohair yarn blended with silk is a super strong fiber, this addition helps to strengthen the stockings and extend their life.

If you have any leftover mohair in different colours, that would be great! If not, do as I did and choose a single mohair yarn.
