Shawlaholics Edition 2 comes with three shawls : Laya, Meera and Reed. Please check out the whole collection.

Reed is a common name for several tall, grass-like plants that grow in the wetlands. In many cultures reed symbolizes resilience and is often shown as an example for managing problematic situations effortlessly and gracefully. I like to think that this shawl takes inspiration from and symbolizes the quiet strength and robustness of the reed.

Reed shawl begins with a small cast on and is increased on one side into an asymmetric triangular shape. It uses garter and eyelets for the body of the shawl. The rows of cross stitches along the border and the twisted fringe bindoff reminds me of the criss-cross patterns made by tall reed stems alongside lakes and streams.
