The Reel of Three sock is named after the Scottish country dance in which three dancers weave in and around each other to create a figure of eight movement. It’s a reasonably straightforward pattern, shaped by a small number of twist stitches, interspersed with plenty of plain knitting and purling so that there is plenty of stretch and give in the sock.

Can be knit with any weight of yarn in any size: instructions given for sizing. Sock pictured was knit with aran weight yarn, but 4ply sock yarns are most suitable for this pattern.
