WEAR YOUR ART – Knit yourself something marvelous!

This pattern is for a soft and squishy double-knit necklace. Reflections is easy to knit and will become your go-to favorite whether hanging out with friends or tearing up the town. It’s a quick and easy, any-season, every-season squishy delight. Precise instructions for how to complete the magical self-stuffing are included; once you’ve got the method down, you’ll be ready to create new necklace designs of your own and add more necklaces to your wardrobe!

What you’ll need: 30-40 grams of fingering weight wool in at least 2 colors (15-20 grams each, if only using 2 colors), 3mm (US 2.5) knitting needles, a darning needle, and some spare yarn for basting and seaming.

Reflections Necklace is double-knit flat, giving beginners plenty of practice in this technique while still being a quick (for double-knitting, anyway) project that produces very satisfying results. The instructions include text, photographs, and one chart that will be repeated 6 or 7 times, depending on the desired circumference of the necklace.

Prerequisite skills: cast on and bind off, standard double-knit stitching, basting, seaming, following a chart, and an edging stitch to lock the sides of your work together (I describe my locking “T” stitch, in case you don’t have one you love).

I conclude the pattern with my email for knitters who have questions or need some extra help.
