Reflexions
This asymmetrical triangular shawl is knit on a bias and shaped with increases along one side of the knitted fabric. The knitting starts at the tip of the shawl only with a few cast-on stitches. A slightly curved shape occurs naturally as a result of different tension between the increase edge and the shawl’s body stitch patterns. Simple eyelet rows on a garter stitch background and a playful lace stitch pattern add depth and a touch of luxury to a finished shawl and make this pattern interesting to knit.
The shawl is designed as a single colour project, but it can be easily turned into a two colour shawl to highlight the lace sections or eyelet rows using the contrast colour.
The sample shown in the cover image uses only one skein of yarn.
