When white light is refracted through a prism, it is broken up into distinct bands of color, showing that white light is actually made up of all the colors of the rainbow.

The pattern is very flexible, you can adjust the length and width of your scarf. It will work well with several different yarn weights and is a great way to use up small amounts of leftover yarn.

Size: 55” / 139.5 cm long and 5” / 12.5 cm wide without fringe. Fringe adds approximately 12” / 30.5 cm to the length. Both length and width are easily adjustable.

The pattern has an easy repeat, but does use a post stitch. There is a complete picture tutorial for the beginner ready for a new challenge.

I made the scarf with We Crochet/ Knit Pick’s Brava Worsted and an H (5.00 mm) hook. The scarf can be made with yarn of a different weight and corresponding hook.

Approximate yardage: 340 yards with fringe: 275 yards of the main color and 8 yards each of 8 different accent colors
