Regal Cardigan
Summer is a great time to wear light cardigans. This cardigan is worked top down, first in a solid double crochet fabric, then in two lace sections at the bottom. This type of construction allows you to both adjust the length of the finished body and sleeves and try on the garment as you go.
Difficulty Easy
Finished Size 35 1/4 (38 1/2, 41 1/2, 44 3/4, 48)“ bust circumference. Sample shown measures 35 1/4”, modeled with 2 1/4” positive ease.
Yarn Manos del Uruguay Alegría (distributed by Fairmount Fibers) (75% wool, 25% polyamide; 445 yd (407 m) / 3 1/2 oz (100 g); ): #2685 eggplant, 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) skeins.
Hook Size F/5 (3.75 mm). Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
Notions Yarn needle.
Gauge 20 sts and 10 rows = 4” in dc, blocked.

NOTES
- Body is worked from the top down: first the back to the underarms, then the front shoulders to underarms, then pieces are joined and continued in one piece to hem.
- Stitches of different heights are used to shape shoulders.
