Regenbogenschwester is a lightweight shawl which works up quite quickly. “Regenbogenschwester” is German for “Rainbow Sister”. I chose this name because this shawl is an alteration of my Arke pattern and Arke is the Greek goddess who represents the faded second rainbow.

As all my patterns this one, too, comes with written instructions for each row as well as a complete chart.

Credit where credit is due: The idea for this shawl is from Iris Pollak, a participant of the Arke-CAL last summer. She didn’t want to wait for the next part of the pattern and kept on repeating the first rows. I liked her shawl so much that I just had to do it myself. This pattern is the result.

INFORMATIONEN AUF DEUTSCH

Die Regenbogenschwester ist eine Abwandlung des Arke-Tuchs, das viele von euch während des CALS letztes Jahr gehäkelt haben. Es ist ein leichtes Sommertuch, dass sich einfach und schnell häkeln lässt.

Wie alle meine Anleitungen kommt auch diese sowohl mit ausgeschriebenen Anweisungen für jede Reihe als auch mit einer kompletten Häkelschrift.

Ehre, wem Ehre gebührt: Die Idee für dieses Tuch stammt von Iris Pollak. Sie hat letztes Jahr am Arke-CAL teilgenommen und wollte nicht auf den nächsten Anleitungsteil warten. Also hat sie im Prinzip der ersten Reihen weitergehäkelt und das Ergebnis hat mir so gut gefallen, dass ich diese Version auch häkeln musste.
