Reggie Vest
The vest is made in one piece, worked in the round. There are two options given,
a) with a striped crossover stitch body section and a colour block yoke in a treble stitch, or
b) striped crossover stitch for the whole body & yoke.
The vest could be made using a cotton yarn, and worn as a Spring/Summer vest top, or in heavier wool or acrylic yarns, as a warmer vest to be layered over a shirt or t-shirt.
DIFFICULTY: Intermediate
SIZES: 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m, 1-2yrs, 2-4yrs, 4-6yrs, 6-8yrs, 8-10yrs
HOOK: 4.00mm and 3.50mm for trims
YARN: (DK weight)
In one solid colour: 50g x 2 (3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5) balls at 105m per ball
In 6 colours: 50g x 6 (6, 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9)
You can use any combination and number of colours you wish, the total given here is first for the whole garment, if crocheted in one solid colour, the second set of quantities is when 6 colours are used, as in the rainbow white-trimmed version. It is likely you may only need a small quantity of the 2nd or 3rd balls, so the total number of balls required for a multi-coloured garment is much higher, and you could instead use scraps and small oddments for the additional colours.
Instructions are written not charted, in UK terminology.
