This cosy dog jumper is knitted with an Aran weight yarn and a pair of 5mm knitting needles, in a “V” shape, starting at the “tail-end” of the back and ending with the collar, all in one piece. The “V” shape is formed by increasing one stitch at each end of the odd rows and decreasing two stitches in the centre of the even rows.

The front is worked by picking up stitches from the shoulder edges of back and also worked in a “V” shape.

The pattern is a beginner to intermediate level. A knowledge of casting on, double rib (k2, p2), increasing by making one, decreasing, picking up stitches and casting (binding) off is necessary.
