Regina
REGINA is knit top down and in the round. The yoke pattern is charted. The sizes go from 2-8 years. The pattern is for a cardigan, but if you’d rather make a sweater without the opening in the front, there is a short description of how to modify the pattern.
GAUGE: 22 stitches and 27 rows / 10 centimeters in stockinette.
SUGGESTED YARN: Magasin Duett Donegal Tweed or Geilsk Tweed, both 190 meters/50 grams. When choosing colours, I suggest you make sure that there is a distinct contrast between main colour and colour 1.
NEEDLES: Circular needles 3 and 3,5, or size needed to obtain gauge. The pattern is written for knitting using circular needle and I’ve used the magic loop method, but you can use double pointed needles if you prefer that.
OTHER MATERIALS: scrap yarn, darning needle, stitch marker. Sewing machine for the steek, cotton bands and six buttons (seven for largest size).
