‘Rehat’ ˈrɛhat̪̚ derives from the Arabic word ‘راحة’ (rāḥa), meaning ‘to rest’ in Bahasa Melayu.
A call to take a breath, take a break, and take some time for yourself. Something we should all do more often.
The sweater is designed to be slightly sheer and airy due to the yarn’s weight, the Rehat Sweater can be worn during any season, on its own during hotter seasons or over other garments in the fall.

CONSTRUCTION:
The Rehat Sweater is worked from the top down. The back panel is worked in with stockinette stitch first, breaking at the armhole. Then the right front panel and left front panel are picked up separately at the CO edge then worked along with neckline shaping. Once completed, the front panels are joined and worked on together before joining in the round. The main body is worked in the round. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round after the body is completed. You have the option to finish with an I-cord edge, a single crochet stitch or a rolled hem that is applied to the neckline, hem and sleeves.
