This fun Christmas stocking with a reindeer under the snow is a perfect project to tackle while waiting for Santa. It is made in the round with a short-row heel and a star toe. Explanations are written, the colorwork is charted only.

Skill level: intermediate.

Techniques: knit/purl in the round and flat, increase/decrease, stranded colorwork, short rows.

Yarn: 300 yards of worsted weight yarn, 200 yards in main color and 100 yards in contrasting color.

Gauge: 22 stitches x 28 rows = 4” in stockinette.

Size: about 18” (46 cm) high, you can change size by using a larger or smaller gauge or knitting a longer foot as explained in the pattern.

Tools: Size US 6 / 4 mm set of 5 DPNs (or size to get gauge); tapestry needle; scissors.
