These mittens are for medium size adult hands and are knit in stranded colorwork from the cuff to tip. A smaller size mitten can easily be made with thinner yarn/tighter gauge.

Aran weight yarn, two colors, 100 yards for MC and 80 yards for CC - DROPS Alaska in the colors Dark Turquoise 52 & Off White 02
