This cable hat pattern is a little different from the usual ones. The cables are relaxed, making the hat a little lighter and airier, while still being warm, soft and squishy.
The cables are also a little easier to work, as they are relaxed.No purl stitches are used.

The hat features a tubular cast on, which gives a beautiful rounded edge. A standard cast on can be used, if desired.

The pattern is unisex and 11 sizes are included:
Newborn: about 34cm (13 1/2”) head circumference
6 months: about 41 cm (16”) head circumference
12 months: about 43 cm (17”)head circumference
1-2 years:about 46 cm (18”)head circumference
3-4 years:about 48 cm (19”)head circumference
5-6 years:about 50 cm (19 3/4”)head circumference
7-8 years:about 52 cm ( 20 1/2”)head circumference
9-12 years:about 54cm (21 1/4”) head circumference
Adult small :up to 56 cm( 22”)head circumference
Adult medium: up to 58 cm (23”)head circumference
Adult large:up to 61 cm (24”)head circumference

Worked in the round, on 4 mm US 6 needles and using DK( Light Worsted or 8 ply) yarn.
You will need between 50 - 100 g of yarn, depending on the size and yarn used.
