ABOUT THE DESIGN:
Following the crochet provisional cast on using contrast coloured yarn, the body and the sleeves are worked bottom up in the round on circular needles using 2 strands of yarn held together. When the sweater is completed, the provisional cast on is removed, the live stitches picked up, and the hem is worked top down, making it easy to adjust it to preferred body length.
Adjustments to the length of sleeve must be done by removing or adding 1 or more full pattern row repeat, and it is an advantage to knit the sleeves before the body to ensure you get the length of the sleeves right. The sleeves are therefore recommended to be knitted first.

Yardage is calculated based on the finished measurements. Note that changes to length (longer or shorter) will impact yardage.

NOTIONS:
For provisional cast on, waste yarn in contrast colour with similar weight as two strands of Supersoft yarn from Holst Garn held together and a 4.50 mm / US G crochet hook.

RECOMMENDED NEEDLES:
4.00 mm / US 6 circular needle (40+80 cm / 16+32”) and dpns.
4.50 mm / US 7 circular needle (80 cm / 32”) and dpns.

GAUGE:
18½ sts and 29 rows in textured pattern as described below in 2 strands of Supersoft from Holst Garn held together on larger needle and after wash and block = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4”.
