REMEMBER LAST SUMMER can be knitted as a shirt or as a slipover - according to your needs.

For the Winter Version it is designed as a slipover - use a winter yarn and add the turtleneck. The casual style allows you to team it with a slim-fit long-sleeved T-Shirt or even to wear it with a fashionable blouse with extra wide sleeves.
For the Summer Version use a nice summer yarn and knit the neck opening as an airy round neck - REMEMBER LAST SUMMER is your perfect casual and flattering shirt.

It is knitted from the top down in one piece, starting at the back neckline. The sloping shoulder lines are created using the contiguous method by Suzie Myers using regular increases. After finishing the front neckline continue knitting in the round.
Then front and back are divided to knit the armholes in rows. After they have been completed knitting continues in the round up to the cuff.
A vertical pattern band (openwork pattern) runs down the centre of front and back.

There are two versions:
For the summer version, the neck and arm openings are finished using an I-cord bind off.
For the winter version, a turtle neck collar is added at the neck.

The instructions for the openwork pattern are provided as text and as chart. A tutorial explains the provisional cast on (find link in pattern).
