Remember Me Afghan Square
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
Designed especially for Veteran’s Day - my son is in the Navy - as a tribute to all service men and women. This pattern is named after the “Flower of Remembrance,” the red poppy, which is the official memorial flower of the VFW. An unknown Canadian friend named this square from a contest on my blog. She thought that the red flower in the middle reminded her of the red poppies worn in Canada in November.
Come join me at my RAVELRY GROUP, where we test patterns, and host CALS and swaps.
