The poppy is my own design, but the leaf is from a Woman’s Weekly magazine and not my own (link provided in pattern).

Adjusting the size of the hook and/or yarn will increase or decrease the size of the poppy for your own personal specifications. I chose a DK/light worsted yarn and a 2.5mm hook so the poppy was approximately the same size as the poppys made by the British Legion.

I’m happy to hear any suggestions for improvements and/or additional embellishment. There are no issues with you producing and selling this item; all I ask is you don’t claim this as your own design and give credit if you publish it elsewhere.

If you create these, please send me a picture I would love to see others make them.

I found that blocking helped them keep their shape, but starching improved this process especially if you want to use them as a brooch.

Thank you for considering my work and happy crocheting.
