Renee is a slouchy, oversized sweatshirt with exaggerated proportions. The armholes are extra deep, the sleeve circumference starts out very large, and the body length is slightly cropped. The bottom edge is turned up and finished with a three-needle bind off on the right side, creating a casing for a drawstring cord.
BEFORE PURCHASING THIS PATTERN
This pattern uses a modified Cocoknits Method, with the shoulder join dropped to the back. The sleeves, however, are picked up and knitted down from the armhole opening rather than as a seamless yoke. Although this pattern features the signature Cocoknits English tailoring with the front/back join pushed to the back, Renee does not require the Cocoknits Worksheet.
All of the page numbers in this pattern refer to the pages in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger, where the techniques are explained in detail. Purchase Cocoknits Sweater Workshop or visit your local yarn shop.
