Repeatable Many Hearts
One of my favorite motifs is this tiny, nested heart design. I absolutely love that it creates hearts on both sides when you use interlocking crochet – they are just upside down. It is designed so that it repeats indefinitely. You can make it as wide as you want and as tall as you want. If you are looking for a pre-set size you may wish to use one of my other patterns that use this motif (see Many Hearts bundle).
I used this design to showcase my tutorial on Tunisian Mosaic Crochet! Check it out on my website
(https://ashleeslint.com/tunisian-mosaic-crochet-stitch-tutorial/) or on YouTube (https://youtu.be/AZANRUgdQCo).
Yarn weight and hook size can easily be adjusted, just keep in mind your finished project will use a different amount of yarn and be a different finished size.
You will receive one file for interlocking crochet:
- the full written line-by-line pattern
- chart reading instructions
- a one-page chart
And one file for overlay mosaic crochet:
- the full written line-by-line pattern
- instructions for an optional envelope border
- chart reading instructions
- an X-marked chart
The Locked Filet Mesh (LFM) interlocking crochet method uses only chain spaces and double crochets to create a mesh; two colors are worked alternately which creates the pattern.
Mosaic crochet is single crochet and double crochet stitches. The double crochet stitches cover some of the other color’s single crochet stitches to create the design. My patterns instruct you to cut your yarn at the end of each row. The back is striped but often gives a faint impression of the pattern on the front (sort of like illusion knitting). See an example here.

I have YouTube tutorials available for both crochet methods! Follow this link to get to my YouTube channel and find my other social links.
