This PDF pattern provides step-by-step instructions and tips for making a variety of rescue bunnies, including Dutch, lop, and lionhead breeds.

It has been made to benefit the Long Island Rabbit Rescue, a volunteer organization dedicated to the care of abandoned and neglected rabbits, and the education of the public on proper rabbit care. These knitting instructions include all steps to create a basic bunny and a Dutch bunny, with added assembly tips for making lops, dwarfs, and longhair bunnies. There are plenty of images and tips to help you along the way.

You will need to be familiar with the following techniques:

Knit-in-the-Round; Knit and Purl; Knit Front and Back; Purl Front and Back; Knit Two Together; Purl Two Together; Slip, Slip, Knit; Slip, Slip, Purl; Short Rows; Wrap and Turn; Stranded Colorwork/Fair Isle

Supplies:

Four DPNs, light weight yarn, batting/polyfill, wide-eye tapestry needle for assembly, safety eyes, short length of embroidery thread.
