Resolutions Sock Trio
This knitting pattern is a little unconventional because it is for a “mismatched” sock trio instead of a matching pair. If you prefer, you could choose your favorite color combo and make two matching socks.
The socks are worked from the top down, with Shadow Wrapped short row heels and star toes. Since no one enjoys weaving in yarn tails, the pattern is designed so yarn can be carried through the colorwork section. For comfort, rounds begin at the side of the sock so the carried strands are on the side of the foot instead of the sole.
If you are new to Shadow Wrapped short rows, here is a quick tutorial from my blog. Short row heels are a lot faster and easier than you may think.
In addition to the pattern, the download also includes a reference card with a photo tutorial of how to make the necessary twin and triplet stitches required for the short row heels.
Wondering how the pattern got it’s name? Three of my knitting related goals to start the year were to practice my color work, use yarn from my stash and join one of the groups at my LYS (I picked sock club of course).
