Rest Area Shawl
Originally designed in DK weight Yarn using a 5mm/ US 8 needle, (SKEINZ PULSE) REST AREA was inspired by my Give Me Strength Blanket.

Fast forward to 2024 when I experimented with knitting this design as a SINGLE SKEIN SHAWL, using FINGERING WEIGHT YARN … when I was unwell & wanted to knit something I could pick up & put down easily, without having to think too much.
Almost as soon as I cast off one, I was casting on another, knitting 5 in about a month! The whole experience was really therapeutic, & SO MUCH FUN - especially when I discovered that self striping/patterned yarns seemed to be made for it!
I believe this pattern would be PERFECT for zoom meetings, knit nights, friend visits & of course, travel knitting.
