Originally designed in DK weight Yarn using a 5mm/ US 8 needle, (SKEINZ PULSE) REST AREA was inspired by my Give Me Strength Blanket.

Fast forward to 2024 when I experimented with knitting this design with a SINGLE SKEIN of FINGERING WEIGHT YARN, when I was unwell for a spell, & wanted something soothing to knit that I could pick up & put down easily.

And what do you know, almost as soon as I cast off one, I was casting on another, knitting 5 in about a month! The whole experience was really therapeutic, & SO MUCH FUN - especially when I discovered that self striping/patterned yarns worked so well.

I believe this pattern is PERFECT for zoom meetings, knit nights, friend visits, & of course, travel knitting.
