Restless Cables Cardigan

Classy and classic, you’ll find this open cardigan essential for your winter sweater wardrobe. The simple cables affect the fabric around them, resulting in a restless bend and flow to the overall pattern. The sleeves have a bit of fullness that gathers in gracefully at the cuffs. Welted details add the perfect finishing touch. Worked almost seamlessly in a worsted weight yarn, this is a quick and satisfying knit.
This is a project for intermediate or adventurous beginner knitters. Skills used include working cables, shaping in stitch pattern, picking up stitches, circular knitting and short rows. The stitch pattern is given in charted form only. The sweater is knit flat in one piece from the bottom up to the underarms then divides. The shoulders are seamed. The sleeves are picked up and worked in stockinette stitch circularly from the top down using short rows for the sleeve caps. The pattern is 6 pages long and includes a schematic. It has been test knit and professionally tech edited to be clear and free of errors.
