This pattern is a complete make-over of a previous flower pattern I made. It now consists of 4 variations of flower and can be made in a myriad of colour combinations.

The flowers in the photos are made with Scheepjes Catona (hook 2.75 mm) and Patons 4-ply cotton (hook 2.5 mm) but any yarn can be used, just make sure you use the right hook. It is available to download in either UK terms or US terms, you will get the option of which to download once the payment has gone through.

The pattern includes a photo-tutorial on how to make a standing treble crochet/double crochet and how to make an invisible join. The one special special stitch (half treble 5 together over 5 stitches/ half double crochet 5 together over 5 stitches) is also illustrated with photos. The pattern is suitable for beginners with a basic knowledge of the basic stitches and is a good way to learn and become confident at making standing stitches and invisible joins. These two techniques make the joining area near invisible when working tr/dc stitches in a round.
