These socks were designed for Sock Madness 11 (2017). The pattern will be available to the public after the competition is over--sometime in mid-2017.

Retro Madness is one of those random household object inspired designs. It’s also one of a set –Mod(ern) Madness is Retro’s wild child. I think there may still be a few other relations hiding in back.

These are basic, top-down socks with a flap-and-gusset heel. If you can knit, purl, decrease, and pick up stitches, you’re all set.

Due to the size of the motif, the pattern only comes in one size, Some adjustment is possible by choosing thicker or thinner yarns and needles. Please swatch and check your math before you cast on. Notes are included to make two different leg lengths as indicated in the pictures. A pair will use roughly 90-150 grams of yarn.
