Inspired by mid-century designs, this pullover was originally created for North Light Fibers. While they wanted just the woman’s version, I thought it would be perfect for a man’s version too. So, when they discontinued producing yarn for knitting, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to add the men’s sizes.
Perfect for outdoor adventures or just lounging around with hot chocolate in front of a cozy fire, this is an easy to knit long sleeve pullover that only looks complex. The body is worked in the round from the bottom up, beginning with rib, then continuing in stockinette stitch to the bottom of the armholes.
The faux plaid pattern is actually a multi-color slip stitch pattern, with each color being worked for two rows, alternating the main color with three different contrasting colors. An interesting option would be to use an ombre or color fade yarn for the contrast color and let the yarn do the color changes for you.
